UTHSC ISPOR Chapter
The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) overarching mission is to promote excellence in health economics and outcomes research in order to improve global health decision-making.
The UTHSC ISPOR chapter is a student chapter of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). In 2022, the UTHSC ISPOR student chapter was reinstated, and it is affiliated with the Health Outcomes and Policy Research program. We hold monthly meetings and offer educational programs that are advantageous for individuals interested in health economics and outcomes research. Additionally, we invite experts from the industry, academia, and policy-making field to deliver guest lectures focused on HOER. We extend a warm welcome to PharmD and other graduate students who are interested in joining us.
Our Mission
The mission of the ISPOR student chapter at UTHSC is to:
- Provide an environment where students can share knowledge in Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research.
- Serve as a bridge in bringing together students interested in Pharmacoeconomics and members of the pharmaceutical industry, health related organizations, and academia.
- Act as a resource for new students in Pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.
- Provide an opportunity for student chapter members to become familiar with the affairs of ISPOR as well as have representation in its affairs.
