The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) sparks intrinsic motivation and helps learners develop into expert learners who are motivated, purposeful, goal-driven, and resourceful. 

The medallion supports instructors in incorporating principles of UDL into their teaching through engagement, representation, and action and expression.
