Course Design
The Course Design medallion is based on the principles of Backward Design, which is an evidence-based process that emphasizes designing your course around broad goals and developing effective ways to assess learning of these goals.
Participants craft course goals and develop learning outcomes aligned with these goals. Following these steps, participants create assessments, curate content and choose appropriate teaching strategies. Participants complete the medallion with a developed course outline, rough draft of a syllabus and an understanding of of how to transfer this design process to additional courses.
