Designed specifically for researchers at all career stages, this ongoing series aims to provide practical knowledge and essential tools to help you succeed in your research journey. Each session will feature experts from across campus and external partners, offering insights into critical areas that support and elevate your work.

Whether you're new to research or looking to refine your skills, this series will equip you with the resources and connections you need to thrive.

All presentations will be from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the Freeman Auditorium (930 Madison, 3rd Floor).

Lunch will be provided to the first 50 attendees.
All presentations will be live-streamed and recorded.

AUGUST 19: Telling Your Story: Scientific Storytelling in Changing Times
Jessica Snowden, MD, Vice Chancellor for Research

- - This presentation will be a practical session designed to help scientists communicate their work clearly and confidently with the media and public audiences. Dr. Snowden will cover how to prepare for interviews, simplify complex topics, and stay on message during media interactions.

SEPTEMBER 16: Navigating the Research Core Facilities
Daniel Johnson, PhD, Director of the Molecular Resource Center and Molecular Bioinformatics Core

- - Dr. Johnson will discuss all of the new technologies at MRC, MBIO, and PMC. Dr. Laribee will present recent data generated by the cores.
