Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship

The ACGME accredited one-year Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Training Program aims to develop neurologists to master the core competencies related to neurophysiology. The program is directed by Tulio Bertorini, M.D. The fellow will learn to perform and interpret electrophysiological tests independently, to diagnose and care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, sleep disorders and other related disorders such as dysautonomias in regular and emergency settings independently. The fellow with develop knowledge in medical economics and managed care, including social aspects of medical care, and of end of life issues, as well as develop educational skills related to the field of neurophysiology.

Prerequisite Training/Selection Criteria

  1. Qualified candidates must have successfully completed or will complete an ACGME accredited four year Neurology program
  2. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Neurology
  3. Must have basic training in Clinical Neurophysiology during residency (total of at least 3 months that include EMG and EEG)
  4. At least three letters of recommendation by the neurophysiology supervisor, the program director and the chairman of the neurology program.
