Class Descriptions

  • Total Body Sculpt
    A total body workout using interval training to work the muscle groups and raise the heart rate.
  • Cardio Dance
    A fun way to burn calories, learn some new dance moves, and just have a good time working out.
  • Hip Hop Dance
    A funky dance class that will energize you with lots of "hip hop moves".
  • Circuit Workout
    A class designed to build strength and tone muscles using resistance weights and body weight. It is combined with quick spurts of cardio activities.
  • Pilates on the Mat
    A basic Pilate's class that uses Pilates rings and works the core on the mat.
  • Spin
    A great Spinning class that will burn lots of calories combined with jumps, and sprints on the bikes. Mental focus required!

    Spin Class Procedures

    Please note: We do not reserve bicycles in advance. All bikes are on a first come first serve basis and there is a proper policy and procedure.

    1. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to class.
    2. To obtain a number for a bike, you will present and leave your UT ID Badge, or Fitness Center card, sign in. A number will be given to you. (No number for bike, no entry into class).
    3. After the class you will then return your number to the Desk 2 attendant and they will give you back your ID Badge in exchange.

    There are 17 bikes and the #1 always goes to the instructors bike for the class. Numbers 2-17 are distributed in order on a first come first serve basis.

  • Tai Chi for Health
    Tai Chi for Health is designed for anyone interested in improving their core strength, balance, body awareness and reducing stress. Step-by-step instructions will take you through the easy to learn movements. No special clothing or equipment needed!
  • Spin Flex
    A fun physical conditioning class that will work the total body from head to toe. This class uses the Spin Bikes and Interval Training for an amazing full body work out.
  • Yoga
    This Yoga class uses beginner poses that will lengthen your muscles as well as strengthen your core and help you to become aware of your body and breath, in time & space.
  • Work-It Circuit
    A fun and energizing full body workout, using interval training with weights and your own body weight.
  • Fitness Assessment
    Come in and have a Personal Trainer give you a Fitness Assessment and orientation to the machines in the weight room.
  • Cross Pump
    An exciting new class that uses light weights and high repetitions to get an excellent full body work out.
