Ready to Make the Move to OneDrive and SharePoint?

Still using Isilon, My Drive or Volshare to store documents? Have no idea what these are? It doesn't matter! If you are still using these or are looking for a storage solution, it's time to make the move to OneDrive and SharePoint.

Contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@uthsc.edu for assistance in moving your documents.

Microsoft 365 (formerly O365) provides email, online document editing and storage, access to the Office Web Apps, and Microsoft Office for Windows and Mac. This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, OneNote, OneDrive, Forms, Bookings, Teams, and more. Training is available for individuals or departments.

Access

Our agreement with Microsoft allows faculty, staff, and students to download and install Microsoft Office desktop applications for free on up to 5 computers. Individuals that are sponsored, special pay, part-time, etc. will have online appliation access only. Once an individual has left the University, the Microsoft Office ProPlus subscription will end immediately.

While Microsoft 365 offers many awesome products, here are the Microsoft 365 tools that we support: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, OneNote, OneDrive, Forms, Bookings, and Teams.

We encourage users to work with other tools offered, but we do not have the capacity/ability to support all of the Microsoft 365 tools, as new tools are released all the time.

OneDrive for Business

Store documents and photos online so they can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer and be shared with others.

  • 5TB worth of password-protected online storage
  • Create private, shared, and public folders
  • Deleted items go into the recycle bin, where they stay until they're automatically removed 90 days later. During the 90-day period, you can remove files from the recycle bin to free up storage space or restore items to their original location if you've accidentally deleted them. Once a file has been removed from the recycle bin, it can no longer be recovered.
