One UT Collaboration and Innovation Grants Awarded

The OneUT Collaboration and Innovation Grants were awarded today and TRIUMPH- Tennessee Recruitment to Increase Underrepresented Minorities in Professions of Health was awarded $50,000. One of 300 applications, this multidisciplinary project lead by faculty members in the Department of Physical Therapy, Department of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology will be a huge impact on UTHSC, the College of Health Professions, and the professions of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. Congratulations Drs. Hughes, Carter, Meekins, Likens, Lancaster and Finke.

Steven Doettl earned a PhD

Congratulations to Dr. Steven Doettl on his successful PhD dissertation defense. The title of his dissertation was “Vestibular Evoked Potentials and Postural Control in Adults with Age Related Hearing Loss.” Dr. Steven M. Doettl is the Coordinator of the Dizziness Clinic, which provides clinical vestibular assessments and rehabilitation across the age-range as well as a wide-range of vestibular research. He is currently involved in vestibular research regarding the evaluation of vestibular disorders and analysis of current vestibular assessment techniques in the adult, pediatric, and special populations and has published and lectured on both the local and national levels. Congratulation, Dr. Doettl!
