May 4, 2020 - Teacher Appreciation Week
Dear All,
Teacher Appreciation Week begins on May 4th and it offers an opportunity to take a moment and express our gratitude to our faculty and staff for their extraordinary work to educate and support our students remotely, and for the work yet to come to prepare for a safe return to campuses over the coming months. We should also thank our students for their flexibility and determination to finish their academic course work this spring, despite the challenges we are facing.
As we continue to navigate the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, the college will announce plans in the next few days for faculty and staff to return in a phased approach. College guidelines and departmental plans have been submitted for approval and will be posted at the College’s COVID-19 webpage as they are finalized. These plans have been developed with a strategic, measured approach to implementing requirements for protective face coverings, strict social distancing, and increased sanitation of common areas, along with course modifications. Of course, they could change as guidance from public health officials monitoring COVID-19 continues to evolve.
