Why I chose OB/GYN: I ultimately chose OB/GYN as a specialty because of the relationships you develop with patients whether it is delivering their child or helping them through difficult life circumstances.
Why I Chose Chattanooga: I rotated at UT Chattanooga as a fourth year medical student and immediately felt included in the resident family. Having a wonderful support system, given my family still resides in Pennsylvania, was important to me. In addition, UT faculty (and fellow residents) challenge you to practice evidence-based medicine and constantly encourage you to become a better physician and community member. I knew attending this particular residency program would lead me to be a competent and caring provider.
OB/GYN Areas of Interest: Reproductive endocrinology and infertility
