Fitness Consultation Program

UTHSC Campus Recreation is offering a new Fitness Consultation Program this spring! We will offer a FREE comprehensive five-session program for UTHSC students, faculty and staff that includes the following:

  • Comprehensive Fitness Assessment to determine your base fitness level.
  • Post – Assessment Consultation to review your Fitness Assessment and establish your next best steps.
  • Weight and Cardio Room Orientation to familiarize you with contemporary weight and cardio room equipment.
  • Personal Training Session to acclimate you to a consistent program that will help facilitate your ongoing success.
  • Reassessment three months after your initial Fitness Assessment to evaluate your progress and determine your next course of action.

Our ambition is to provide the UTHSC campus community with the resources to ensure individual success in reaching personal fitness goals.

About the Sessions

Sessions will be conducted by Campus Recreation Fitness Trainer Wesley Williams.

Wesley holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance, he is completing a Master of Science in Nutrition in May of 2023, and he is an AAFA Certified Personal Trainer.

Sessions will be scheduled 10:30 am – 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Registration is open today for sessions beginning April 10th.

You may register up to 7 days in advance of your session.

Registration closes 48 hours prior to session date.


To register for your first session you can visit the Fitness Consultation portal or:

  1. Visit
  2. Select Programs
  3. Under Search Programs select Fitness Center Reservations
  4. Under Categories select Fitness Consultations

All subsequent sessions will be scheduled in coordination with the fitness trainer.

To cancel your reservation in the online portal: Select Profile > Programs > Cancel.

We ask that you cancel at least 24 hrs in advance.
