How to Allow Tutortrac Through Sophos Antivirus

Below are instructions for adding an exception to the free edition of Sophos Antivirus if it is preventing access to tutor.uthsc.edu.

Sophos Home Edition

  1. Log in to your Sophos Home account (home.sophos.com) in a web browser
  2. Click on your device
  3. Click "Configure"
    1. A browser is open to the Sophos Home Dashboard. A mouse curser moves across the screen and clicks on the listed device. A new page loads and the mouse curser clicks on the "Configure" link.
  4. Scroll to "File and Folder Exceptions" section at the bottom of the page
  5. Click the "Websites" tab
    1. A web browser open to the device Settings and Configuration page scrolls down to the “File and Folder Exceptions" section at the bottom of the page. The mouse pointer then clicks on the "Websites" tab in that section, and begins to enter the address.
  6. Click in the open box, type 128.169.0.44 and hit your return key
    1. The Website Exceptions section has an empty field and the entered IP address is listed at the bottom with a trash can symbol.

At this point, you should have access to tutor.uthsc.edu, though it might take a few minutes to process.
