Medical Student Rotations

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center offers three medical student rotations in general radiology, interventional radiology, and pediatric radiology. Both the general and interventional radiology rotations are 4weeks, while the pediatric radiology rotation is 2 weeks. All rotations are open for third and fourth year medical students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and outside medical programs.

As an advanced program, residents must complete an initial training year in another specialty, typically either preliminary medicine, preliminary surgery, or transitional internship all of which are available at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Resident train throughout the UTHSC system including the Methodist Hospital system, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Regional One Health, Memphis VA Center, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
