Purchasing Services is a unit of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Office of Finance and Operations. The mission of Purchasing Services is to serve as a value-added resource to the campus community by providing quality acquisition and related services.
Services We Provide
- establish purchasing contracts
- make purchase commitments on behalf of University departments
- administer the surplus property disposal program
- provide training for the University's on-line financial system (IRIS)

The UTHSC Buying & Paying Newsletter is published as an additional information resource for UTHSC team members with buying (purchasing & contracting) and paying (accounts payable) responsibilities. Our goal is to provide information about policy and procedure changes, new purchasing contracts, IRIS updates, and training opportunities and to provide helpful tips and other information relating to buying and paying at UT.
