Med Student Electives & Rotations
Fellows are actively involved in the teaching of medical students: All third year students on the Psychiatry Core Clerkship spend a half day as observers on the inpatient service, gaining exposure to the problems of children and adolescents.
Interested students can get more involved and request additional time. Furthermore, Fellows serve as front-line preceptors in the popular fourth-year elective in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Fourth-year medical students can also register for a one-month Senior Clerkship (Junior Internship). There, they are granted more patient responsibility, working side-by-side with the Fellows.
