Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Pharmaceutics Faculty Position

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Pharmaceutics

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, is seeking an outstanding applicant for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level that is state supported. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong research program in the area of: pharmaceutics, physical pharmacy, drug delivery, gene therapy, nanotechnology, nanomedicine, regenerative medicine, bio-imaging, biosensors, biomedical engineering, or other related discipline with focus on drug discovery and development. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, the ability to maintain a competitive extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching Pharm.D. and graduate programs, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Division of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics Faculty Position

The Division of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, invites applications for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level. The Division of Experimental Therapeutics is committed to the improvement of safety and efficacy of drug therapy in patients through basic, translational, and clinical research. Our faculty are engaged in competitive, cutting edge research and the education and training of Pharm.D. and graduate students, fellows, and post-doctoral trainees.

Applications will be accepted from scientists engaged in basic, translational, and clinical therapeutics-based research. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, pharmacogenomics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacy outcomes, clinical trials, and molecular therapeutics. Therapeutic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, pediatrics, oncology, neurology, endocrinology/metabolic diseases, critical care, transplantation, and women’s health. Candidates with established research programs are highly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to have a Pharm.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree, the ability to acquire sustained extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
