PathConnection is a philanthropic endeavor by the Department of Pathology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center to help physicians, patients and pathologists in underserved populations gain access to better pathology through real-time digital imaging and telepathology.
Our goal is to use the latest technology in digital imaging in areas that are in most need. We believe there is definitely a need worldwide for second opinions and consultations in pathology for especially difficult cases.
Our experience here shows that with expert consultations, we can improve patient management and outcomes. We understand most patients would not be able to afford consultation fees and for that reason have chosen to fund this entire project from grants and contributions. We would acquire grants that enable us to furnish the equipment and necessary expenses for this project.
