Office 365 Support

Microsoft is consistently adding new features to Office 365. For example, Sway, Delve, and Video have all been added in the last several months. In order to communicate these changes to the University, ITS strives to stay ahead of the release of new features. However, when Microsoft announces that a new feature 'is now available' it does not necessarily show up for all users at that time. Depending on the release cycle, the new features could take several months before they are available to Office 365 for Education subscribers.​ Additionally, Microsoft rolls out these new features on their own schedule, with little notice to customers.

To provide the best service to the UTHSC community, we intend to be great at a handful of applications, and be as helpful as possible with the rest as you can see by the chart below. It is important to remember that the web, or online, versions of most Microsoft applications are far more limited in their feature set when compared to the full-version that can be installed on a Windows or Mac computer.

Full Support

Supported and tested. Full Support means that we will help work through issues that may occur with the software. Our team has access to proper training and documentation on the use of the application.

Minimal Support

Support provided, but minimal. Minimal Support means we will be glad to help the best we can and learn with you along the way. We can point you towards tutorials and documentation, and help with web searches that will lead you in the right direction.
