Brenda Hill joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as an Instructor in the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Program in June 2010. She received her BSN from UTHSC in 1989 and her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Brenda's primary clinical focus is pediatrics, and she currently maintains certification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PCPNP-BC) and a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). Brenda's clinical experience has been primarily in pediatric intensive care and pediatric oncology.
She has also worked in college health and labor and delivery/newborn care. Brenda currently teaches Health Assessment, Introduction to Professional Practice, Maternal Child Health, Clinical Leadership Practicum, and CNL Synthesis Seminar in the BSN/MSN program. Brenda has practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Well Child, Inc in the public school system. Brenda is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, and currently serves as the membership ambassador for the Beta Theta chapter.
