Stacy Emerson completed her BSN at the University of Texas HSCSA and served 4 years in the US Navy Nurse Corp. She completed both her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University.

Stacy joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Nursing in July 2013. Her practice focus is in primary/urgent care and rural practice issues. Teaching responsibilities include DNP clinical, theory and philosophy, and health assessment. She has over 12 years of teaching experiences in nurse practitioner education programs and has worked in both rural primary care and urgent care settings. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, NONPF, and NLN.
