Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Anesthesiology, is seeking a physician anesthesiologist for an open-rank and non-tenure, full-time academic faculty and clinician position (academic rank is commensurate with training and experience, and compensation is highly competitive). Individuals with fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine, Regional Anesthesia, Chronic Pain Management, OB Anesthesia, or Trauma are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified generalists are also being sought, with a heavy caseload in ortho, trauma, and high risk OB. Duties include direct patient care, as well as teaching and supervision of nurse anesthetists and residents. Opportunities for clinical and basic science research are available and participation is encouraged. Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible for examination by the ABA and eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
