Description: The Department of Periodontology at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Dentistry is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position as the Director of the Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics. The primary responsibilities of the position include post-graduate clinic administration, resident didactic and clinical instruction and research mentoring. Other responsibilities include scholarly activity and service to the University. Excellent opportunities are available in a faculty practice plan.

Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree, Diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology and must be eligible for dental licensure and a conscious sedation permit in the State of Tennessee. Considerable experience in the areas of advanced periodontal surgical procedures, implant site development, implant placement including guided implant placement and implant restoration is required; evidence of scholarly activity and teaching/administrative experience at the graduate level is preferred. Private practice experience is also preferred. Academic rank and salary will be based upon qualifications and commensurate with level of experience.
