Ms. Jami Flick graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Health Science and  Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (OT). She joined the UTHSC OT faculty full time in 2013. She has clinical experience across the lifespan in acute care, including burn unit and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), community mental health, inpatient and outpatient rehab. She volunteered as an OT in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. She served as a fieldwork developer for the first-ever Bachelor’s Degree level OT and PT program in Haiti offered by FACULTÉ DES SCIENCES RÉHABILITATION D’ LÉOGÂNE of the Haiti Rehab Foundation. She previously represented Tennessee as the Alternate Delegate on the AOTA Representative Assembly. She serves as the Pi Theta Epsilon Faculty Advisor, Delta Zeta Chapter, and Chair of the Tennessee Fieldwork Consortium. She is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Heath Science at Nova Southeastern University. Ms. Flick is certified as an AOTA Fieldwork Educator, Level I Provider Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) Feeding Approach, Nurturing Parenting Program Trainer, DIRFloortime® provider, Therapeutic Listening provider, facilitator for Community Action Poverty Simulations, and Mental Health First Aid USA. Her research interests are collaborative approaches in the anti-human trafficking movement, capacity building, health equity, global health, and trauma-informed practice.
