Digital Content

The Digital Content team is responsible for the development and maintenance of content across the UTHSC website and social media channels, as well as providing photography and videography services to the campus.

Website Requests

To make a change to an existing UTHSC webpage or to request a new webpage, please send requests through our Request Form. Requests are completed on a first come, first served basis. Website requests for minor text changes or document replacement are usually completed within 24 to 48 hours. More extensive website requests may take longer depending on their complexity.

Photography/Videography Requests

The Office of Marketing and Communications has a full-time photographer/videographer on staff. They are responsible for taking headshots for faculty and staff. They will also assist with taking photographs and videos for Marketing and Communication purposes. However, we do not cover departmental assignments such as speakers, dinners, receptions, conferences, student headshots, or passport photos, unless the photos of the event are needed for marketing purposes such as the University website, social media, or alumni magazines.

In many cases we can refer you to local freelance photographers and studios that can assist you with your departmental needs. To inquire about event photography or to request a list of freelance photographers, use our Request Form. Please make sure that these inquires are made at least two weeks in advance of your event.

We will email you with a copy of your headshot within 10 business days after the shoot.

Where will I receive my photo?

Can you Photoshop my picture?
Due to the large volume of photos, we do not do extensive retouching. Every headshot does get a softening filter, color correction, and cropping.
What should I wear for my headshot?

For better headshot, dress in layers with colors that contrast with each other (i.e.: Black and White). Avoid clothing with gray color, or two pieces of clothing that are the same color (i.e: Black shirt with Black Tie). Make sure your clothes are wrinkle free and lint free for better viewing experience. The studio does not provide lint roller, or irons.

If you are unsatisfied with your outfit after the headshot, you will need to reschedule for another shoot.

  • Men should wear a collared, button-down or polo-style shirt.
