College of Nursing

College of Nursing

The College of Nursing offers three distinct programs to prepare nurses for advanced nursing practice. The MSN Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program offers options for second degree students (non-nurses) and licensed nurses (graduates of AD, Diploma, and BSN programs) seeking certification as a CNL. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program educates nurses with and without advanced practice certification for clinical leadership roles in six (6) specialty areas: Acute Care Nursing, Family Nursing, Forensic Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, and Public Health. The DNP/PhD program, a dual degree program with College of Graduate Health Sciences prepares nurses seeking an integrated advanced clinical and research program of study. As you review the information, you will see all the College of Nursing has to offer nursing students.

We invite you to visit our campus. You may schedule your campus visit online or by contacting the Office of Enrollment Services at 901-448-5560, toll free 877-843-4461 or visituthsc@uthsc.edu.
